Hey, I'm Ginny. I photograph families, babies, and women across Maryland and the DMV. I've been doing this for over a decade, and maternity sessions are one of my favorite ways to start telling a family's story.
You don't have to show up feeling confident in front of the camera — that's my job. I'll guide you in a way that feels natural, not stiff, so you can actually relax into the experience. Before the Session
Once you book, I'll send over simple guidance on what to wear and how to prepare — just enough to make sure you feel ready without overthinking it.
During the Session
Sessions are relaxed and flexible. I'll guide you the entire time so you never feel awkward or unsure of what to do. Simple, natural movement and positioning keeps everything feeling effortless.
After the Session
You'll receive a full gallery of hand-edited Maryland maternity photos within 1–2 weeks, ready to download, print, and share. You'll have a mix of natural candid moments and more polished portraits.
Maryland Maternity Photography Sessions
I conduct sessions all over the DMV area, and here are some of my favorites that work well! (but always open to other suggestions you may have!). We can also shoot inside or outside your home, or use my Silver Spring studio. Please note that pricing varies based on location.
Investment of $745 in Maryland | $825 for DC and Virginia
Sessions last up to one hour at your chosen location and include 70–100 lightly edited digital images delivered online for downloading, printing, and sharing.
Outside 15 miles of 20906: +$125 travel fee | Weekends: +$200
Session Availability
Thursday and Friday sessions generally run between 9:0 AM and 3:00 PM. Studio sessions have potential availability throughout the week- reach out to me for more info!

Most Maryland maternity photography sessions take place between 28–34 weeks. This is when your bump is showing, but you’re still comfortable enough to move easily.

Weather can be tricky, and I've found after years of tracking the weather for sessions that the forecast is not truly accurate until a few hours before. Cloudy skies can make for great lighting, we just don't want it to be actually raining! If rain is in the forecast, I ask what the latest possible time we can make the call for a "Plan B" given the time it takes you to get everyone ready and transported, etc. I would hate to get everyone dressed up and then have to cancel!
If it still is looking like rain, we can either move the session indoors to your home or the studio, if you're not comfortable being inside, or we can reschedule based on both of our availability! -
Contact me for available dates and times. Sessions tend to book 1-3 months out depending on the season (fall being the busiest).
To officially reserve a session date, I will send you a contract that you can sign online. Please provide your address, best contact number, names of everyone appearing in the photos and the ages of any kids.
A 50% nonrefundable retainer is due at booking. An invoice will be sent online to pay with credit card.
The remainder is due no later than 3 days after the session.
