Hey, I’m Ginny. I photograph families, babies, and women across Maryland and the DMV. I’ve been doing this for over a decade, and maternity sessions are one of my favorite ways to start telling a family’s story.
You don’t have to show up feeling confident in front of the camera. That’s my job. I’ll guide you in a way that feels natural, not stiff, so you can actually relax into the experience.

Before the Session
Once you book, I’ll send over simple guidance on what to wear and how to prepare. Nothing complicated, just enough to make sure you feel ready without overthinking it.
During the Session
Sessions are relaxed and flexible. I’ll guide you the entire time so you never feel awkward or unsure of what to do.
After the Session
You’ll receive a full gallery of edited Maryland maternity photos with the ability to download and print. You’ll have a mix of natural moments and more polished portraits.

LOCATION
I conduct sessions all over the DMV area, and here are some of my favorites that work well! (but always open to other suggestions you may have!). We can also do the session inside our outside your home. I also have a studio location.
(Please note price difference based on location!)
The session typically lasts up to an hour (sometimes less, sometimes a little more) at the location of your choice and all digital copies (70-100) of the photos that are lightly edited and delivered online for you to download and use as you please. (printing, social media, etc)
FULL SESSION AVAILABILITY
Thursday and Friday are generally between 9:00 and 3. Studio sessions have potential availability throughout the week- reach out to me for more info!

Can’t decide between a Full Private Session or A STUDIO SESSION?
Here are some things to consider!
BOOKING
Contact me for available dates and times. Sessions tend to book 1-3 months out depending on the season (fall being the busiest).
To officially reserve a session date, I will send you a contract that you can sign online. Please provide your address, best contact number, names of everyone appearing in the photos and the ages of any kids.
A 50% nonrefundable retainer is due at booking. An invoice will be sent online to pay with credit card.
The remainder is due no later than 3 days after the session.

When is the best time for maternity photos?
Most Maryland maternity photography sessions take place between 28–34 weeks. This is when your bump is showing, but you’re still comfortable enough to move easily.
What should I wear for maternity photos?
I recommend simple, well-fitting pieces that highlight your shape without feeling restrictive. I’ll guide you with options so you don’t have to guess.
Can my partner or kids be included?
Yes, and I always encourage it. Maryland maternity photos can include your partner and children while still keeping the focus on you.
Do you offer studio maternity sessions?
Yes. My Silver Spring studio is perfect for clean, minimal Maryland maternity photography if you want something simple and timeless.
Do you travel for maternity sessions?
Yes. I photograph maternity sessions across Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia. We can choose a location that feels easy and meaningful to you.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Weather can be tricky, and I've found after years of tracking the weather for sessions that the forecast is not truly accurate until a few hours before. Cloudy skies can make for great lighting, we just don't want it to be actually raining! If rain is in the forecast, I ask what the latest possible time we can make the call for a "Plan B" given the time it takes you to get everyone ready and transported, etc. I would hate to get everyone dressed up and then have to cancel!
If it still is looking like rain, we can either move the session indoors to your home or the studio, if you're not comfortable being inside, or we can reschedule based on both of our availability!
