My studio is in Silver Spring, MD 20906
The main benefit of a studio session is CONTROL. Lighting and location is not subject to weather or time of day and we know the photos are going to look great and consistent! You don’t have to worry about cleaning up your own home or finding the right space. There is no rescheduling because of bad weather and easy access to change outfits or adjust hair and makeup. The background is simple and neutral so the focus is on you!
The studio offers various backgrounds depending on what you're looking for. You’ll fill out a short questionnaire to get more background on your needs so we can pick a background that makes sense for you. I have basic backdrops of black, white or grey, along with more "environmental" shots of sitting at a desk or chair, etc.
I encourage 1-2 outfits so you have some variety- often going with one more casual and one more professional. It’s most important that you feel comfortable in what you wear!

The best combo of looking your best and getting your portrait taken! This combines hair and makeup with Valerie Hammer MakeUp Artistry and a 30 minute studio photo session.
Val’s studio is 2 minutes from mine. Makeup takes 1.5-2 hours and then the 30 minute portrait session. These are weekday only. Find out more here!

Groups include 2-3 edited photos per person and are done at your location or in my studio. Your location will need a large natural light source and usable background.
I can typically capture ~30 people in 1 hour if they are back to back.
