Kick off fall with beautiful mini sessions at Fort CF Smith Park in Arlington, VA! The golden light, stunning backdrops, and fun-filled families made this first session day unforgettable. From playful toddlers to cozy family moments, every shot captured the warmth of the season.
What a wonderful start to this year's fall mini sessions! Last Saturday, I kicked off the first of three mini session days at the beautiful Fort CF Smith Park in Arlington, VA, and I couldn't have asked for a better location or better families. Seriously, it was one of those days where everything just aligned—great weather, stunning light, and even a picture-perfect tree that I used as a backdrop for so many of the photos!
We got that warm, golden glow that I absolulely love. And let me tell you, the families I got to work with brought all the energy and love - even for the most challenging 2 year olds. (and there was a 2 year old in almost every session!) If you’ve ever photographed a toddler, you know what I mean—there’s no predicting what will happen, and that’s half the fun (& challenge!) Whether they were running, exploring, or giving me those serious "what are you doing?" looks, each two-year-old added their own charm to the day.
Thank you to all the families who came out and made the day so special. I’m excited to see more familiar and new faces in the coming weeks!

The ever-fun Nasr family is on the blog again! It was a popular day at Fort CF Smith Park (lots of photographers!) but for good reason- it was a beautiful day and perfect backdrop. But I had the best subjects, in my opinion! ;-). It’s not a photoshoot without climbing some good trees!
