This weekend, my 5-year-old taught me something about courage—on a playground slide. The first photo shows him frozen with fear, unsure if he could do it. The next captures pure joy when he realized he could. By the end, he was running back up to go again, this time on his own. Moments like these are what family photography is all about: documenting not just smiles, but the real arcs of childhood—fear, triumph, and the pride that follows.
