LOCATION - in the winter??
Winter can be tricky. There can be some unseasonable warm days, and bone-chilling windy days. At-home sessions can be cozy and fun - all we need is a good space with lots of natural light (large windows, glass doors, skylights, etc). Finding an activity like baking, playing, or getting cozy under the Christmas tree or PJ’s in bed can add some fun elements to your photos.
We can always plan for an indoor session and monitor the weather. If it looks like it will be warm enough, we can find out an outdoor spot or snap a few outside your house. Snow is a beautiful natural reflector, and cozy coats, hats and scarves can photograph well!
I also have an indoor studio space in Silver Spring, MD that can be a great option to staying warm!

FULL SESSION AVAILABILITY
Thursday and Friday’s are generally between 9:30 and 4. I offer limited weekend availability, and have more flexibility to schedule earlier or later. Keep in mind that the days are shorter in the winter! Below are some open dates or feel free to Contact me for availability!

What about weekends?
To better align my own values and schedule, my weekends are prioritized for family time. For that reason, my weekend availability is very limited. I do have select availability, so please inquire if a weekend is your only option. You can read more about it here!
HERE ARE SOME CREATIVE SCHEDULING IDEAS FOR WEEKDAY SESSIONS:
Plan a "family day off" away from work and school for a session, followed by an event or activity that is normally packed on the weekends.
Check your school calendar for days off and plan your session accordingly.
Opt for a morning session with a late start or leave a little early for an early afternoon time.

MINI SESSIONS
Because the weather is so hard to predict in the winter, I do not offer winter mini sessions. However check back in late March/early April for spring mini session info!
TACK-ON SESSION
30-MINUTE SESSION $495 (40-50 images)
These shorter sessions are discounted as the timing and location are based on an already scheduled private session. Your time is added before or after an existing session and lasts about 30 minutes. Ask about available dates and locations!
BOOKING
To officially reserve a session date, I will send you a contract that you can sign online. Please provide your address, best contact number, names of everyone appearing in the photos and the ages of any kids.
A 50% nonrefundable retainer is due at booking. An invoice will be sent online to pay with credit card.
The remainder is due no later than 3 days after the session.
