Asia Series: Bangkok, the FOOD

I can't say enough about the delicious food in Bangkok.  I love Thai food in the states, but this was a whole other level of deliciousness.  I even got to take a cooking class at the Blue Elephant, so we'll see if I can replicate anything at home!

Cooking class at the Blue Elephant- included a tour through the morning market Watching them make the delicious Thai iced tea! Spices! Time to cook! We got to eat all our yummy food at the end! My favorite street food: coconut pudding cakes!

Asia Series: The Grand Palace and Temples

One of Bangkok's greatest tourist attraction is the Grand Palace and the many Wat's (Buddhist temples) throughout the city.  I got to see quite a few in my adventures!

Asia Series: Bangkok

After Bhutan we headed to Bangkok for a week.  My comrades had work training during the day, so I got to explore on my own! We stayed at a very funky and cool hotel- the Indigo.  Great happy hour and great rooftop infinity pool!

We did a night bike tour through a beautiful flower market The city was getting ready for the king's birthday (the day after I left!)

Thai massages at Bhawa.  Worth. every. penny.  WOW. The Jim Thompson House was incredibly interesting!

The malls in Bangkok are quite lavish.  This mall had an entire "Sea Life" at the bottom of it!
