I love the little Palisades neighborhood near me that holds an old school, small town feel 4th of July parade every year. So many great participants of all ages and backgrounds, and everyone is dressed and excited for the celebration.

This year we also caught the fireworks near Capitol Hill- what a great city to be in for the 4th!

The cherry blossoms may have peaked, but it's not over!

I promise, the rest of spring is still on it's way and waiting to show off!

And really this past weekend’s sessions had nothing to do with the tree. (but yes, a gorgeous backdrop!)

I took a little drive-through Kenwood this morning to see these beauties! 🌸💕🌸💕🌸💕

She doesn’t need another Mother’s Day gift from Amazon.

Not something in a box.
Not something that shows up two days later and gets tucked away.

She wants to be in the photos.

Spring is starting to show off a little 🌿🌸

Tiny pops of green, those first blooms, kids actually wanting to be outside again… it’s that sweet in-between moment where everything feels a little lighter.

Which makes it a really fun time

Okay, 13… how did we get here so fast?! (I know, I know- every parent says that but it's true!)

We are officially in the teenage years (and obviously that calls for a 13 photo shoot… complete with a little brother who refuses to stay

Spring is one of the easiest times of year to update your family photos.

The weather is finally comfortable.
The trees start blooming.
And kids are usually a lot happier running around outside after a long winter indoors.

But the biggest reason man
