I love our local Palisades 4th of July parade! It has such a down-home local feel and much less crazy then the full on National Mall pomp and circumstance. It was definitely a hot one, but thankfully it’s also a short parade! Happy Birthday America!

I love the little Palisades neighborhood near me that holds an old school, small town feel 4th of July parade every year. So many great participants of all ages and backgrounds, and everyone is dressed and excited for the celebration.

This year we also caught the fireworks near Capitol Hill- what a great city to be in for the 4th!
