National Arboretum

It was a gorgeous day so I got out on my bike to visit the National Arboretum and enjoy some sunshine and flowers! It was glorious!

I enjoyed getting to Dumbarton Oaks last week before the blooms went away (and apparently spring went away!) but we had a glorious day last week and I checked out the gardens at this lovely spot right in my neighborhood!

Most people come into a photo session a little unsure.

They worry about feeling awkward.
They’re not sure how to pose.
They wonder if the photos will actually feel like them.

As the year comes to a close, I’m reflecting on how lucky I am to do this work and work with such thoughtful people.

Some of the best Christmas moments aren’t the ones we plan.

On Sunday I woke up to laughter and the sound of gingerbread house decorating happening in the kitchen. I wasn’t even part of the plan. I just got to walk in and soak it up.
