The National Christmas Tree

I was lucky enough to get into the lottery this year for the Lighting of the National Christmas Tree!  It was Obama's last year hosting the event, so it was a historic moment to be a part of!  It was chilly, but worth it!  It was fun making friends in the crowd despite the cold and the wait!  :) I love the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) building!  So beautiful! tree_lighting_0002 tree_lighting_0003 tree_lighting_0004 tree_lighting_0005

They had a ton of carolers and bands and acapella groups out and about as the crowds gathered.

Happy Halloween and Happy Fall!

It was such a fun Halloween at Night of the Living Zoo!  They opened the zoo for an "adult only" night of beer and wine in the park with food trucks, dancing, carousel rides and more!  It was a good time!  And I broke out an old costume dress from high school to go as a go-go 70's girl.  Complete with fun boots and a wig!

The next day we headed to Great Country Farms for some good old fashion fall treats and pumpkins.  We finished off at the Dirt Farm Brewery conveniently located across the street!

The weekend was rounded out with a wonderful afternoon with two amazing friends at the Creek's Edge Winery.  SO good and so peaceful out there!  Love it!
