Capturing Chaos and Charm with the Moore Family

A lively Christmas studio session with the Moore family and their sweet three year old and five month old. A little chaos, a lot of heart, and the most adorable holiday dress.

The Moore family came in with their lively three-year-old and a five-month-old who both had plenty of personality and that’s what makes these sessions so much fun. I love the real, unfiltered energy of little ones who aren’t afraid to show how they feel. And the Moore kiddos definitely let us into their world, from curious stares to bursts of giggles.

We kept the session playful, embracing the tiny moments of chaos and little Olivia’s Christmas dress was just so stinkin’ cute. By the end, we had a gallery full of images that celebrate the Moore family just as they are: perfectly imperfect and full of heart.

A Real-Life Day: Documentary Session with the Fuhrmann Family

This session wasn’t about posing. It was about real life, bikes, crafts, karaoke, guacamole, and love.

I’ve known the Fuhrmann family since the twins were babies, and watching the whole family grow has been a gift. This session was something different: a documentary family session at home. We still carved out time for some traditional portraits (with the most gorgeous fall light), but we focused on what makes them them. The bikes came out. The guacamole got made. There was karaoke, crafts, cuddles, and connection. These are the kinds of sessions that tell the full story. If you’re someone who wants to capture what your life actually feels like, this is it.

Fontaine Family: An Extended Family Session Full of Laughs and Love

This fun-loving extended family brought the energy, the smiles, and the chaos (the good kind!) to their session. Despite a sketchy forecast, the weather held out, and the result? A gallery full of beautiful, joy-filled images.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing an extended family session that reminded me exactly why I love what I do. An extended family just wanting to celebrating each other.

We did the classic group shots, but once we got through the formal stuff, everyone relaxed, kids started goofing off, and the “fake” laughter became more real.

Extended family sessions can feel a little chaotic, but once we get into the rhythm, it all falls into place. Thanks to this amazing bunch for bringing your full selves and letting me capture the love.
