We recently spent a few sweet days in Cape May, New Jersey—and even with a little rain, it was the kind of trip that filled our cup. We traveled with Grammy and Pop Pop, which always adds a special layer of fun, and this charming historic town gave us the perfect mix of adventure and rest.
Cape May has a way of slowing things down in the best way—quaint streets, colorful Victorian homes, cozy shops, and easy access to the beach. We hit up a few familiar favorites from past visits and added some new memories to the list.
Congress Hall had a really cute Carnival night with a carousel and lawn games (and cocktails!) - super fun for all!
Here are some of our family’s favorite things to do in Cape May:
Beach Plum Farm
Fine Fellows
The Beach Shack
Uncle Bill’s Pancake House
The Mad Batter
Cape May Peanut Butter Co.
Cape May Trolley tours
The Lobster House
This town is such a gem, especially if you’re traveling with kids and grandparents. Cape May really is one of those places that works for all generations—simple fun, beautiful scenery, and great food. We already can’t wait to go back.
