Home for the Holidays: Wrapped for the Year and Soaking Up the Cozy

The camera is packed away. Galleries are delivered. And this family photographer is officially signing off for the year.

After a full season of meeting new and familiar families, capturing milestones, chasing toddlers, and soaking up all the love, I’m taking a deep breath and settling in at home for the holidays.

The lights are twinkling. There are probably too many blankets and not enough hours in the day to enjoy them all, but that’s exactly how I like it.

This time of year always reminds me why I do what I do. It’s not about the perfect photo. It’s about the little things- the way your child hugs your leg, the glance between siblings, the laughter that happens when nobody is looking. That’s the magic. And that’s what I look forward to capturing again in 2026.

To everyone who trusted me with your memories this year; thank you. Whether we met in a park in Silver Spring, a garden in DC, or your own living room in Northern Virginia, every session was a joy.

As I wrap up the year, I’m sharing a few peeks of our own holiday home. Nothing fancy, but full of warmth, joy, and a little chaosβ€”just how we like it.

Wishing you a peaceful season full of all the best stuff: naps, cookies, twinkle lights, and time with your people.

I’ll see you in 2026. I already can’t wait.
