My sister and brother-in-law set off on their bicycle trip across the country! They left from Yorktown, VA, so I was down with my parents to send them off. Some of their very supportive friends rode off with them for the first day. We had a ceremonious dip of the tires on the east coast, and then will end up in Oregon sometime in early August! We had a nice dinner the evening before and Linda's good friend from college who lives nearby came up with her family to say goodbye! Warmth and Fun in Los Angeles!
It was a great visit to warm and sunny California! My parents and I spent the long weekend visiting Matt and Katie in lovely LA. We got to see the beach, visit the Endeavour space craft, had a wonderful day in magical Disneyland, and we did a fun photo shoot with the adorable couple. And yes, gelato was involved...! Lots of good food of course too.
