A Walk in the Woods

May 10, 2015 Ginny

I love exploring the park grounds right behind my house!  In the city, but away from it all... 2015-05-10_0001 2015-05-10_0002 2015-05-10_0005 2015-05-10_0004 2015-05-10_0003 2015-05-10_0006

World War II Flyover

May 8, 2015 Ginny

Over 50 airplanes that flew in World War II did a flyover the National Mall to celebrate the 70th anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) day. It was pretty moving to see them all in formation- this was the view from the Jefferson Memorial 2015-05-08_0001 2015-05-08_0002 2015-05-08_0003 2015-05-08_0004 2015-05-08_0005 2015-05-08_0006 2015-05-08_0007 2015-05-08_0008 2015-05-08_0009 2015-05-08_0010 2015-05-08_0011 2015-05-08_0012 2015-05-08_0013 2015-05-08_0014 2015-05-08_0015 2015-05-08_0016 2015-05-08_0017 2015-05-08_0018 2015-05-08_0019 2015-05-08_0020 2015-05-08_0021 2015-05-08_0022 2015-05-08_0023 2015-05-08_0024 2015-05-08_0025 2015-05-08_0026 2015-05-08_0027 2015-05-08_0028 2015-05-08_0029 2015-05-08_0030 2015-05-08_0031

Passport DC

May 2, 2015 Ginny

I love this annual event in DC where the Embassies open their doors to share about their country and culture!  It was definitely busy with lots of long lines, but we got to see Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Haiti, Qatar and the Ukraine.  All very different but very interesting! 2015-05-02_0037 2015-05-02_0038 2015-05-02_0039 2015-05-02_0040 2015-05-02_0041 2015-05-02_0042 2015-05-02_0043 2015-05-02_0044 2015-05-02_0045 2015-05-02_0046 2015-05-02_0047 2015-05-02_0048 2015-05-02_0049 2015-05-02_0050 2015-05-02_0051 2015-05-02_0052 2015-05-02_0053 2015-05-02_0054 2015-05-02_0055 2015-05-02_0056 2015-05-02_0057 2015-05-02_0058 2015-05-02_0059 2015-05-02_0060 2015-05-02_0061 2015-05-02_0062 2015-05-02_0063 2015-05-02_0064 2015-05-02_0065 2015-05-02_0066 2015-05-02_0067 2015-05-02_0068

📸 How to Create a Year-in-Review Photo Book (Without Losing Your Mind)

Life moves fast. (Understatement, I know) One minute it’s January, the next you’re scrolling your camera roll wondering how there are 12,000 photos and zero sense o
Snippets from another magical Christmas morning. Grateful for the love and smiles. 🎅❤️
Checking out Winter City lights in Olney!
When you leave the camera on manual focus and don’t double check… you get a full set of blurry Christmas photos. Every single one. [Whoops.....]

Honestly though, it feels kind of right for this year.

A merry, merry Christmas and wonderful new year from our family to yours! 🎄💓🙌
This is far from comprehensive. I have so many favorites from 2025 that this could be a full essay.

But here’s a small sampling of the connection and love that showed up in front of my camera this year. These moments are why I keep coming bac

They worry about feeling awkward.
They’re not sure how to pose.
They wonder if the photos will actually feel like them.

What I hear most often afterward is relief.

As the year comes to a close, I’m reflecting on how lucky I am to do this work and work with such thoughtful people.

Some of the best Christmas moments aren’t the ones we plan.

On Sunday I woke up to laughter and the sound of gingerbread house decorating happening in the kitchen. I wasn’t even part of the plan. I just got to walk in and soak it up.
