Today was a scorcher, but I got out to try to handle the heat in preparation for a big wedding tomorrow! 96 degrees and a million percent humidity is definitely not comfortable! But the flowers sure look pretty! :)
The Azaleas!
I had a little bit of time while I was waiting "in disguise" for the big surprise proposal last weekend. Luckily I was easily hidden as someone hanging out at the National Arboretum photographing the flowers. So I did! Here are some of the lovely Azalea shots I took- they are almost in bloom!
The Blossoms are Blooming!
It's been a rough year for the cherry blossoms...unseasonable warm days in February followed by some incredibly cold days and snow in March have left these little guys frozen in confusion...but mother nature is pretty incredible and these guys are making it....!! They may not be the full blooms we're used to in previous years, but they still got me and my camera out this morning to check them out at Hains Point! I think this weekend will be "the" weekend, so hopefully more photos to come!
