Gilmore Girls Mania!

As most people know, I am a huge Gilmore Girls fan and today, this happened.   Three coffee shops in DC (along with others around the country) posed as the infamous Luke's Diner from Gilmore Girls to promote the new series starting on Netflix on Thanksgiving (and yes, I am beyond excited...!) So I of course had to check it out.  I went to Three Fifty Bakery and Coffee.  Well, apparently I am not the only big fan- I got there 15 minutes after it opened and the line was already around the corner and down 2 blocks!  And since I absolutely hate coffee, I opted to take a few photos and call it a day!

I liked how they all dressed in standard "Luke attire"- plaid shirts and backwards baseball hat!

So, so fun- hopefully there will be more Gilmore Girls hype surprises!

National Museum of African American History and Culture

It was an honor to go to the new National Museum of African American History and Culture on opening weekend!  While they had timed entrance tickets, it was definitely packed (so there will be a much needed return visit!) but it was fun to be a part of the experience, and the museum has so much to offer! It's moments like this that make me grateful to live a city that has access to such rich culture and history... Here's a peek into what I was able to see!
